Arena for beginners: how to start and not burn out

The arena is intimidating for newcomers: a lot of cooldowns, control, “switches”. But the entrance is easier than it seems if you follow the steps.
Step 1. Select a bundle for your class
Start with 2v2 and a “friendly” combination: horns + priest, warrior + paladin, DK + paladin, mage + horns. Don't try to play "difficult" right away.
Step 2: Learn three things
- Own defensive cooldowns — when to press them and for what.
- Removing control — trinket and racial ability.
- Kiki and control — how to interrupt castes and how to “close” the target.
Step 3. Watch other people's cooldowns
Set up OmniBar or Gladius: seeing if the enemy has entered the burst is more important than looking at your damage.
Step 4. Analyze your losses
Record battles and answer one question: “at what point did I lose the initiative?” Usually the reason is a wasted defensive cooldown or positioning.
Common mistakes
- Fight head-on without a plan for control.
- Use the “trinket” on the first control.
- Run away from your healer in Los.
- Waiting for the “perfect weight” instead of practice.
