Upgrading Inscription from 1 to 450 on WotLK 3.3.5a: pigments from herbs, scrolls and glyphs, as well as a profession bonus - enhanced inscription on the shoulders.
Briefly
The Scribe makes glyphs, scrolls, off-hands and cards. Gives the best enchant “on the shoulders” (Master’s Inscription). Requires a lot of herbs - ideal in conjunction with Herbalism.

- Goldthorn/Khadgar's Whisker → Golden/Emerald Pigment - 150–225

- Goldclover/… → Azure/Icy Pigment – 375–450

- Scrolls: Scroll of Stamina/Spirit/… from Alabaster Pigment.

- Scroll of Intelligence/Protection - Dusky Pigment.
150–225
- Scroll of Agility/Strength + “studies” (entry-level glyphs).
225–300
- Observing High School Pigments and Glyphs; addition on scrolls.
300–375
- BC glyphs and scrolls made from Nether pigment.
375–450
- WotLK glyphs (these are the most purchased) and scrolls from Azure/Icy pigment; the final is on the “blue” glyphs.
Tips
- Sell glyphs up to 450 in packs - this is a hot commodity.
- Pigments are interchangeable within the level - take the cheapest herbs.
Summary
The typeface is about grass and volume. Buy herbs in bulk and just “grind.”
