Classic 1.12: what is important to know before starting

WoW Classic 1.12 is not a "hard version", but a different game: slow, time-consuming and very social.
Pace and resources
One or two levels per hour after 30 is the norm. There is always not enough money: at level 40, a mount costs 100 gold, and collecting it without professions and selling things is almost impossible. Grass, ore and leather cost like epics at the start of the server.
What to choose
The most comfortable classes for single player:hunter, warlock, druid. For raids you always needtank warriors andHeel Priests. Rogue and Mage are strong in PvP, but require an understanding of the mechanics.
Group is more important than class
In classic there is almost no “solo content” after level 50: elite quests, dungeons, raids for 40 people. One good friend in the guild saves dozens of hours. Log in to the Discord server before the start and agree on a group for the first days.
Economics
- Sell the green stuff at an auction, not to a vendor: the difference is 3–10 times.
- Keep 2 professions from the very beginning - leveling up “later” costs twice as much.
- Don't buy things at the auction before 60: the quest equipment is comparable, and you need money for the mount.
What to check on the server before starting
Look at the date of the latest updates, online size and stability: in the classics, a server drop for 10 minutes can cost you an hour of queuing to get in. We show uptime and real online in the WOW-TOPS.SU cards - check before starting.
