How to choose a server and not run into a “dead” or “fraud” server

Private servers live and die. Here are specific checks before the start.
1. Online
The number in the site header means nothing - look who confirms it. At WOW-TOPS.SU we film online from realms using a robot: if the server has our measurement, then the number is real. An alternative is to log into the game in the evening and look at /who.
2. Uptime
In the server card we have uptime for 7 days. A server that crashes every night breaks all your progress - especially in raids.
3. Scripts
Complete the first 5-10 quests, go into the dungeon: broken mechanics and stuck bosses are an early sign of a weak build.
4. Economy and donation
If the store sells the best raid weapons, the game is broken. Normal donation: cosmetics, experience acceleration, convenience, but not “victory”.
5. Administration
Check the Discord/forum to see if questions are answered, how long ago the news was updated, how complaints are resolved. Silence is a bad sign.
6. Project age
The server must have a history of at least 6-12 months, but at the same time live updates. Both together are rare, but this is a sign of a real project.
