How to choose a World of Warcraft server in 2026

Choosing a server means choosing a company for hundreds of hours of play. We have put together a checklist that will save you nerves.
1. Game version
Classic (1.12) - slow, social, you hold onto each level. The Burning Crusade (2.4.3) - more content and arena. Wrath of the Lich King (3.3.5a) - the most popular version: Ice Citadel, arena, many servers. Legion and BfA are for those who like a modern pace.
2. Online
Look not at the number in the description, but at who confirms it and how. At WOW-TOPS.SU we film online ourselves - from realms, and not from other people's sites. If the server does not have monitoring, the card will honestly say “no data.”
3. Rates and progression
x1 - a long way, everything is like the original. x5–x10 is a compromise: you manage to get through the content, but it doesn’t fly by. Above x100 - for those who want to jump straight into PvP and raids.
4. Admins, donation and stability
Read reviews from the last month, go to the Discord server, look at the date of the latest news. Paid donation in itself is not a problem - the problem is when it breaks the balance. And check the uptime: a server that crashes every night is not worth your time.
5. Check start
Create an account, see how registration works, whether there is bot protection, and whether support is responsive. The first 30 minutes on the server say more than ten reviews.
