PvE for Beginners: Raids, Roles and Preparation

A raid is not about “many players”, but about discipline: everyone knows their role, and the result depends on it.
Roles
- Tank - holds the boss, controls the position.
- Healer — maintains the health of the group, knows the mechanics of damage.
- Fighter (DPS) — maximum damage to the target and correct work with mechanics.
What to take on a raid
- Food with a stat bonus, bottles and potions.
- Spare reagents for healing/resurrections.
- Addons: DBM (timers), damage counter, group frames for healers.
How not to let us down
- Look at the mechanic timers, not just the damage bar.
- Do not stand in the fire or under the front-facing cameras - this will speed up the wipe.
- If you are given a role (for example, “running”), fulfill it even if you lose damage.
How to get into a raid
Start with dungeons and heroics, then look for a guild. Look at the online servers: on a live server, a raid for 25 people assembles quickly, on a dead server it does not assemble at all.
