PvE guide for the Restoration Druid in WoW Mists of Pandaria Classic 5.5.0

Restoration is a flexible healing specialization that allows you to deal with damage of any type and under any conditions. In Mists of Pandaria, Heal counters spread damage across the raid through healing over time effects such as Rejuvenation. The skill is applied instantly, it allows the druid to freely move around the battlefield and exit dangerous areas, while maintaining high healing rates per second. In addition, Healing has powerful cooldowns (Tranquility and Incarnation), as well as the ability to resurrect allies in battle (Rebirth). In this guide you will find a detailed guide to Restor Druid in WoW MoP Classic.

1. Advantages and disadvantages of Druid's Restaurant in 5.5.0
With the release of Mists of Pandaria, Restoration druids find themselves in an interesting position. They are inferior in strength to Healing shamans and Discipline priests, but remain among the best healers. Druids are capable of healing tanks and raids equally well, as well as resurrecting fallen allies in battle with the help of Revival. Restoration Druids perform best in fast-paced fights, as well as fights with enemies that deal damage over time. In fights where the group takes light or moderate damage, the Discipline priests' shields completely cover the defense needs, and the druids' periodic effects are useless. However, the Healing specialization retains its position in the ranking and is suitable for anyone who wants to try their hand at being a healer.
Benefits:
- Important skills like Rejuvenation, Wild Growth and Wild Mushroom can be used while moving, shortening or gaining distance as necessary;
- There are skills for fast movement, Astral Leap and Gust;
- General equipment with the "Balance" specialization, which allows you to change roles without much expense.
- Efficient mana consumption when healing the tank by casting and updating Lifebloom and proc Omen of Clarity;
- Periodic effects (in particular, Rejuvenation) can be applied to allies who are within a 40m radius;
- The only healer capable of resurrecting allies in battle;
- Powerful raid cooldowns, Calm and Incarnation.
Disadvantages:
- When the raid receives low damage, the effectiveness of the druid's actions decreases, since the players' need for healing is covered by other healers;
- It quickly consumes mana, and if you use skills untimely, you will be left without resources at the moments when they are really needed;
- Periodic effects are not suitable for quickly replenishing large amounts of health.
2. Best Races for Restoration Druid in WoW MoP Classic
Trolls are considered the best race for the Horde thanks to Berserk, the tauren have nothing like that.
In the Alliance, worgen have an advantage over night elves thanks to Lightness of Darkness and Bitterness.
3. Best Jobs for Restoration Druid in Mists of Pandaria Classic
A healer can choose any profession for himself, but if you want to use the character's capabilities to the maximum, we recommend that you choose the same professions as in the fighting specializations ("Strength of the Beast" and "Balance"): engineering and leatherworking.
4. PvE builds and talents for Druid “Healing” in WoW 5.5.0
The most profitable build for Healing allows for virtually no variation. It includes talents that affect the amount of healing, as well as auxiliary effects and skills for fast movement. Astral Surge and Ysera's Gift do not change under any circumstances, they provide high mobility and passive healing respectively. Incarnation and Soul of the Forest are considered situational talents, the choice of one of them depends on the characteristics of the raid or dungeon. Natural sensitivity has a limited scope, Heart of the Wild is considered a more reliable and versatile option.
Build for Restor Druid (Heal) in Mists of Pandaria Classic
Notable Talents
In this section we will look at the key talents for the Restoration Druid. Carefully study the mechanics to take full advantage of your character's capabilities.
- Evocation is a powerful healing cooldown that increases the amount of health restored and gives additional effects to your main spells: Lifebloom applies to multiple targets, Wild Growth covers two additional targets, and Regrowth is instantaneous. If you choose this talent, use it when the raid is taking heavy damage, and try to do it as often as possible.
- Soul of the Forest increases the casting speed by 100% for the first spell cast after Quick Recovery. Typically, the effect is spent on Wild Growth for powerful AoE healing and Rejuvenation for targeted healing. In the same row there is the talent Incarnation, which is sometimes used instead of Soul of the Forest. Incarnation works best in fights where opponents deal heavy damage over long periods of time. If there is little damage, but it is dealt faster, we recommend that you choose Soul of the Forest.
- Heart of the Wild increases Druid Heal's mental stamina by 6%, and the active component enhances the healing done. Talent is considered very flexible and useful. Natural sensitivity can be a worthy competitor to the Heart of the Wild. It increases the effectiveness of your spells when used, lasts 30 seconds and has a 90 second cooldown, meaning you can use it 30% of the time. If you need the maximum boost for a particularly difficult raid fight, you can use Natural Sensitivity, but in most cases it is inferior to Heart. Sensitivity can also be useful in short battles that do not allow you to use the active effect of Heart of the Wild twice.
5. Best Symbols for Restor Druid in Mists of Pandaria 5.5.0
Large characters
The symbols in the Mists of Pandaria expansion have been slightly redesigned: only large symbols are responsible for modifying combat skills, while small symbols affect the gameplay to a lesser extent. We suggest you use the following options:
- Blossom Period Glyph - Blossom Period is triggered by Wild Mushroom, not Quick Recovery. With this symbol, the large bloom lasts 100% of the time and is always located where players are standing, rather than appearing in random places.
- Glyph of Wild Growth - Wild Growth heals an additional target, but its cooldown is increased by 2 seconds. Wild Growth provides a large portion of the healing, and the addition of an additional target increases its effectiveness.
- Glyph of Restoration increases the critical chance of Restoration and removes the periodic component. If the symbol is present, the spell can be used for targeted healing of allies who find themselves in a difficult situation.
Small characters
Small symbols are optional and their impact on the game situation is minimal. We suggest you use the following options:
- Glyph of Sprawling Mushrooms - Wild Mushroom can be placed anywhere, not just under the target. When combined with the Blossom Period Glyph, the Exploding Mushroom Glyph gives the player complete control over the Blossom Period.
- Glyph of Aquatic Form increases movement speed while in Aquatic Form by 50%. Can be useful in the open world, but is not used in raids and dungeons.
- Glyph of Grace, similar to Glyph of Aquatic Form, is only applicable in the open world and grants immunity to fall damage.
6. Druid rotation "Healing" in WoW 5.5.0
Restor Druid Rotation
The main purpose of a Healing Druid in combat is to support allies with healing over time effects. The skill priority is as follows:
- Maintain three charges of Lifebloom at all times. Target a tank or a player who takes constant damage over an extended period of time.
- Absorb the effects of Omen of Clarity when triggered with Regrowth.
- Constantly maintain Wild Mushroom for healing and Flowering Period.
- Use Wild Mushroom: Bloom if allies are taking heavy damage.
- Use Wild Growth as often as possible to deal with heavy AoE damage.
- Cast Rejuvenation on different players who need healing, but remember that too much Rejuvenation will quickly drain your mana and can leave you without resources at the worst possible moment.
- Use Quick Recovery for emergency healing.
Healing Touch takes a long time to cast, and therefore is practically not used in rotation. Nature's Auspiciousness restores too little health, even when trying to upgrade Lifebloom. If you need to refresh your charges, use the Lifebloom itself. Conjuration should be used when you have extra mana and the raid is receiving heavy peak damage. Casting speeds up the dissipation of Rejuvenation and, if used incorrectly, leads to the loss of a large amount of mana.
Use Nature's Swiftness, Calm, and Evocation (see details below) as needed to react to incoming damage or excessive mana drain.
With Incarnation, Heal Druid's rotation changes slightly.
- Use Wild Growth on cooldown (during Incarnation it covers two additional targets, for a total of eight targets);
- Cast Lifebloom on all available targets that need healing to increase the chance of Omen of Clarity proc, making sure to keep three charges on the main target;
- Cast Regrowth on allies that need healing (it's instantaneous while Tree of Life is active), including Omen of Clarity and to refresh Lifebloom.
You can use Rejuvenation while under the effect of Tree of Life, but it does not receive a healing bonus and is therefore considered ineffective compared to Lifebloom.
Remember to use the following sub-skills:
- Rebirth to resurrect fallen allies;
- Innervate to replenish mana (at resource level 80% or less);
- Cat Form + Alarming Roar to increase movement speed if combat mechanics require it;
- Cat Form + Frontal Attack to interrupt dangerous enemy spells if allies cannot complete the task.
Symbiosis
Symbiosis is a positive effect that is applied to an ally and provides unique bonuses to the ally and the druid himself. The ally gains the druid's class skill, and the druid gains a skill determined by the ally's class. Below we list the skills that can be obtained from Symbiosis.
| Class | Skill for purpose | Druid Skill |
| Death Knight | Blood: Ursoc's Might - Frost/Unholy: Wild Mushroom: Plague | The Inviolability of Ice |
| Hunter | Rush | Containment |
| Mage | Healing Touch | Ice block |
| Monk | "Brewmaster": Survival Instincts - "Mistweaver": Wrath of the Trees - "Windwalker": Bear Hug | Strengthening decoction |
| Paladin | "Light": Rebirth - "Protection": Barkskin - "Retribution": Wrath | Cleansing |
| Priest | "Obedience"/"Light": Tornado - "Darkness": Calm | Spiritual Zeal |
| Rogue | Roar | Slipping |
| Shaman | "Elemental"/"Enhancement": Pillar of Sunlight - "Healing": Prowling Beast | Favor of the ancestors |
| Warlock | Rejuvenation | Demonic Circle: Teleportation |
| Warrior | "Weapon"/"Fury": Alarm Shout - "Protection": Savage Defense | Terrifying Roar |
When choosing a target for Symbiosis, assess the situation and try on auxiliary skills that could be useful to you. It is also necessary to evaluate the skill that the ally will receive, since it, as a rule, turns out to be more useful than the skill that the druid receives. In terms of personal gain, Ancestral Favor is the best option, allowing you to cast Calm on the Move, but your tank will probably benefit from an additional defensive cooldown.
7. Cooldowns and other useful abilities of the Healing Druid in WoW Pandaria Classic
Almost all the abilities present in the spell book can be useful to you in one situation or another. Below we will briefly describe each of them.
Healing Key Abilities
- Lifebloom triggers instantly and restores health over a few seconds. Stacks up to three times for each target. When dispelled (voluntary or forced), Lifebloom explodes and instantly heals the target for a large amount of health. Lifebloom can only act on one target (excluding Incarnation), it can be renewed by the Patronage of Nature or the Lifebloom itself. When switching to another target, Lifebloom charges are not lost.
- Rejuvenation is a healing over time effect that can be applied to yourself or allies.
- Wild Growth is a smart spell that targets allies with the lowest health. The periodic effect weakens over time.
- Fast Recovery only applies to targets with Rejuvenation or Restoration and restores a large amount of health. Also creates a Blossom Zone under the target if Druid Heal does not have a Blossom Glyph.
- Restoration is a healing ability with a short cast time. It consumes a lot of mana, replenishes a portion of health instantly and another portion within a few seconds. Typically only used when Omen of Clarity is triggered.
- Patronage of Nature is an effective spell with a long casting time. Restores 20% additional health when the target is under a healing over time effect.
- Healing Touch is a slow-moving spell that restores a lot of health.
- Natural Swiftness is an ability that allows you to cast your next spell instantly. The amount of healing is increased by 50%. Cooldown 1 min.
- Calm is a powerful healing cooldown (a streaming spell that heals all party members once every second). Recovers in 3 minutes.
- Incarnation is acquired by choosing the appropriate talent. It increases healing by 15% and changes the rotation by applying Lifebloom to additional targets. Also allows you to cast Regrowth instantly and increases the number of targets covered by Wild Growth by 2.
- Wild Mushroom creates a mushroom (and a Bloom Time zone when using a Bloom Time Glyph). The mushroom stores healing and can be detonated with Wild Mushroom: Bloom. The mushroom explosion can be used to neutralize heavy damage, but allies must be close to each other to do this.
- Ironbark is applied to the target, reducing damage taken by it. As a rule, tanks are targeted when they need additional protection.
- Casting speeds up the triggering of Rejuvenation and speeds up the time it dissipates. The amount of healing from Rejuvenation remains the same, so Casting is applied when the raid takes heavy damage. In other cases, it only “eats” Rejuvenation and forces the druid to spend extra mana.
- Symbiosis allows a druid to form a bond with another player and exchange abilities. Symbiosis has complex mechanics; a full list of abilities is presented in the “Rotation” section.
Abilities used while in Cat Form
Cat Form is occasionally used for Prowl and Rush. Experienced players will sometimes use Maim, Rake, and Ferocious Bite to deal extra damage.
Abilities used in Bear Form
Bear Form can benefit from additional health and armor, as well as the Powerful Stun and Furious Recovery abilities. In addition, it has an additional defensive cooldown, Might of Ursoc.
Abilities usable while caster form
The following spells are available to druids of all specializations. The spells are listed in order of importance, but they can all be useful in one situation or another.
- Alarming Roar is a new ability from the Cataclysm expansion that allows the Druid and his allies to move faster for several seconds.
- Bird Form and Swift Bird Form are new skins that allow you to move through the air. Cannot be used in battle.
- Mark of the Wild is a positive effect applied to the raid and increases the main stat by 5%. Equivalent to the paladin's Blessing of Kings.
- Omen of Clarity is a buff that allows you to cast your next ability without costing any Mana, Rage, or Energy.
- Barkskin is a protective cooldown that reduces all damage taken by 20%. Can be used while under control.
- Innervate restores a large amount of mana to the target.
- Revival resurrects a fallen ally in battle.
- Hibernation is a control effect applied to animals and dragons. Apply to druids in the forms of animals.
- The Wrath of the Trees pins the target in place for a few seconds.
- The tornado stuns the target and makes them immune to damage and healing.
- Nature's Grasp applies a buff to the druid that lasts for 45 seconds. and pins the next target in place, which deals damage to the druid.
- Moonfire triggers instantly and applies a damage over time effect.
- Wrath is a quick spell that deals moderate nature damage.
- Hurricane deals damage to all enemies in the target area. Considered a flow spell.
- Magic fire curses the target, reducing their armor rating and preventing them from becoming invisible or stealthy.
- Calm removes all enrage effects from the target.
8. Priority of Druid stats "Healing" in WoW Mists of Pandaria
The stat priority for a Restoration Druid is:
- Intelligence
- Speed(up to 3043 rating units)
- Spirit
- Mastery
- Critical Strike
- Speed(outside the limits)
Intelligence
Intelligence is the main characteristic that is of paramount importance for Healing. This is the only way to increase the spell power indicator, which determines the effectiveness of healing. Intelligence is present on all pieces of equipment; there is no need to specifically recruit it.
Spirit
Spirit increases the speed of mana execution and is considered one of the most beneficial characteristics for a healer. If you're actively spending mana and still can't spend it all the way, then you've gained enough spirit.
Speed
Haste is the best secondary stat for Heal. It allows you to cast spells faster and speeds up periodic effects when reaching certain (limit) values. However, increasing your haste will increase your mana cost as you cast spells more frequently than normal. This deficiency must be compensated for by the spirit, which replenishes mana throughout the battle.
The speed limits operate as follows:
- With an indicator of 3034 units. You gain an additional Calm proc.
- With an indicator of 3039 units. you gain an additional Rejuvenation proc.
- With an indicator of 4717 units. you gain an additional Regrowth proc.
- The next limit is 13,000 units, but at the beginning of the expansion it is unattainable.
Choosing a cap for Heal Druid depends on the spell you use most often. We recommend that you stop at 3039 units, in this case you will get some benefit without sacrificing other characteristics in too large quantities. In future patches, the recommended cap will be increased as characters will be able to gain additional stats from higher tier gear.
Mastery
Heal Mastery (Harmony) enhances direct healing from spells such as Restoration, Nourish, Healing Touch, and Swiftmend. Casting one of these spells increases your healing over time for 20 seconds. Mastery is less effective than Haste, but its effect must be maintained for as long as possible.
Critical Strike
Critical Strike is not a very useful stat for Heal and is usually reforged into Spirit, Haste, or Mastery.

9. Gems, Enchantments and Consumables
In this section we provide recommendations for choosing stones, enchantments, food and infusions. Details on the stat mechanics for the Restoration Druid are provided in the Stats section. This information will help you understand the general principles of selecting boosts, and you can quickly change them if necessary.
Enchantment

Stones for Restor Druid
The choice of stones depends on the existing distribution of characteristics. For example, if you have a high speed indicator, you will not need speed stones. If you have any questions, check out QuestionablyEpic.
Special stones give the maximum bonus. If you don't have access to Heroic Primal Diamond, use Burning Primal Diamond as a temporary option. If you don't need speed, use Artificial Sunset Onyx for the yellow slots.
| Stones | |
| Burning Primal Diamond | |
| Sparkling Pristine Ruby | |
| Anxious Sunset Onyx | |
| Refined Imperial Amethyst | |
| Glittering Snake Eye - Requires Jewelcrafting, can be used up to a maximum of three. |
Consumables
Below are recommendations for choosing consumables. Items that provide a bonus to spirit exist in the game, but we recommend that you use bonuses to intelligence, as they affect the amount of outgoing healing to a greater extent.
Food
Food is divided into three categories: +250, +275 and +300 units. characteristics. If you don't have a feast in your group, eat personal meals.
- +300 Intelligence: Mogu Fish Chowder, Spiced Flower Soup, or Legendary Pandaren Noodle Soup
- +275 Intelligence: Turtle Stew, Gourmet Noodle Soup, One Pot Treat, Big Pot Treat
- +250 Intelligence: Rolling Mist Soup or Noodle Soup.
Infusions and potions
Use the following flask with an Intelligence bonus:
- Infusion of the gentle sun
Mana potions come in two versions:
- The potion of attentiveness requires maintenance for 10 seconds, replenishes mana every second. The effect is not interrupted by taking damage, but is canceled by moving or casting spells. Use this potion if you can afford not to cast a healing spell for 10 seconds.
- Master's Mana Potion is used in battles where it is not possible to use a Potion of Attentiveness, but gives less mana in total.

QuestionablyEpic
QuestionablyEpic is a site with the best recommendations for healers from popular player Voulk. It can be used to compare different objects. BiS lists are certainly useful, but they do not reflect all the subtleties of choosing equipment for a particular character. This is especially important for Restoration druids, as they need to keep track of their caps. QuestionablyEpic will help you choose the best combination of items from your bags, suggesting the right stones and enchantments. If you can't figure out how to use the site, watch the video instructions. The instructions are compiled for the retail version of the game, but for the classics the differences are insignificant (you need to install the QE Live Gear Importer addon and enter the command /qe instead of /simc). If you have any questions about the site, ask them in the QE Live Discord channel.
11. Leveling up Restor Druid in WoW MoP 5.5.0
“Healing” is a frankly unsuccessful specialization for leveling up alone, since it does not allow you to quickly kill monsters. If you want to level up in Healing, we recommend that you find a good group and visit the dungeon one after another. If you want to level up your druid as quickly as possible on your own, we recommend that you pay attention to the Balance specialization.
Talents for leveling up a druid "Healing"
The Mists of Pandaria expansion has significantly simplified the talent trees. Only a few of these talents affect the leveling process. We recommend that you choose options that allow you to kill opponents faster and get to the right places. Below we list the key talents:
- Astral leap transports the character forward and gives a large increase in movement speed.
- Incarnation turns the character into a tree, increases the amount of healing done, and slightly changes the mechanics of spells.
- Ursol's Vortex creates a vortex that slows down opponents and pulls them towards the epicenter as they attempt to escape.
- Heart of the Wild provides a static increase in intelligence (6%) and additional bonuses depending on the chosen specialization.
- Natural sensitivity increases damage dealt and healing done by 12%, lasts 30 seconds, deals damage to enemies when using targeted healing spells, and heals allies when direct damage is dealt.
Symbols
For large symbols, we recommend that you use the Blossom Period Glyph (starts the Blossom Period when using Wild Mushroom, not Quick Recovery, simplifies the process of maintaining the effect), and Blossom Glyph (useful when playing in a group, forces you to use Life Bloom more often). Other symbols do not affect the leveling speed, but you may find the Glyph of Restoration, Glyph of Healing Touch, and Glyph of Wild Growth useful.
Small symbols also do not affect the leveling speed, however, the Glyph of Growing Mushrooms allows you to place Wild Mushrooms anywhere, and not under the feet of the target, which simplifies the use of the ability.
Rotation for leveling
The rotation for leveling up the Healing Druid is very simple. Maintain Wild Mushroom and heal allies with Bloom Period. Use Wild Mushroom: Bloom if the party needs AoE healing. You can also use Wild Growth for AoE healing. Additionally, try to keep Lifebloom on the tank and use Rejuvenation as needed.
Pre-raid equipment for the druid "Healing"
