PvE guide for the Beastmaster Hunter in WoW Mists of Pandaria Classic 5.5.0

“Beastmaster” is slightly inferior in strength to “Survival”, but scales excellently and performs well in raids towards the end of the expansion. However, you can choose Beastmaster to master any type of content now. Beastmasters deal heavy damage to single targets and have access to flexible abilities, including passive AoE damage from Beast Strike. Compared to other Hunter specs, Beastmasters benefit the most from the new burst damage cooldown, Bestial Rush. In this guide you will find a detailed guide to BM Hunt in WoW MoP Classic.

1. Advantages and disadvantages of BM Hunt in 5.5.0

Benefits:

  • Exceptional burst damage thanks to Feral Onslaught.
  • Powerful passive damage due to Bestial Onslaught.
  • Raid effect: True Shot Aura.
  • Powerful support skills, including unique ones (Redirect and Play Dead).
  • A simple process for selecting equipment in the early phases of the expansion
  • Fast leveling and easy solo play

Disadvantages:

  • Depends on the pet that needs extra attention
  • Mediocre sustained damage to one target
  • Weak total AoE damage
  • Least popular hunter spec for raids
  • Lack of defensive cooldowns and self-healing abilities

2. The best races for the Beastmaster Hunter in WoW MoP Classic

Horde players are advised to choose an Orc for the extra pet damage through Blood Fury. You can also choose a troll for extra damage from Berserk, 1% proficiency for ranged weapons and Kill Animals. Blood elves also have a useful racial ability, Arcane Flux. It inflicts AoE silence and can be extremely beneficial when completing the test mode.

The best race for the Alliance BM is the Worgen (1% additional critical strike chance and cooldown for fast movement Lightness of Darkness). You can also choose a draenei with an additional percentage of accuracy.

3. Best professions for BM Hunt in Mists of Pandaria Classic

  1. Engineering remains the best profession in the game, with Mists of Pandaria adding an active glove enchant, Neural Springs, to engineers. Neural Springs are the best enchant for fighting gloves, regardless of the chosen class and specialization. Nitro Boosts increase movement speed on demand and often help out in critical situations. In most guilds, engineering is considered a required profession.
  2. Blacksmithing allows you to add additional gem slots to gloves and bracers (Glove Socket and Bracer Socket). In fact, you can pair any non-gathering profession with engineering - they all give approximately equal combat bonuses, choose what you enjoy doing. Blacksmithing allows you to choose stats for additional slots, but for a hunter it will be dexterity in any case.

4. PvE builds and talents for the Beastmaster Hunter in WoW 5.5.0

With the Mists of Pandaria expansion, the talent system has been redesigned - instead of a large tree through which players must move down, players have a clear table with a small number of talents. New rows of talents open starting from level 15 and every 15 levels thereafter, each row contains three thematic abilities, from which you can choose just one. The choice of talents for hunters is practically independent of specialization - the main abilities are acquired when choosing this specialization, and not from talents.

Build for BM Hunt in Mists of Pandaria Classic

Below is a brief description of all the talents available in each tier. In Mists of Pandaria, new talents are unlocked every 15 levels, starting at level 15.

Talents by level

Level 15 Talents

Recommended option: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Chimera.

Talents in this tier change the mechanics of the main fast movement skill, Disengage.

  • Quick Reaction increases movement speed by 60% and eliminates the slowdown after using Disengage. This is a great option for fast on-demand movement in most raid fights.
  • Almost got caught! When using Disengage, it also pins enemies in place for 8 seconds. Powerful but situational AoE control.
  • Crouching Tiger, Hidden Chimera reduces the cooldowns of Disengage and Contain. This talent is used as the default option, reducing the cooldown of Disengage from 20 to 10 seconds and allowing the ability to be cast twice as often as normal.

Level 30 Talents

Recommended option: Linking shot.

This tier contains talents for controlling opponents.

  • Link Shot fires an arrow at a designated point, tying nearby enemies together. If opponents move too quickly and break the connection, they will be stunned for 5 seconds. This is a powerful AoE effect that works great in any situation.
  • Wyvern Bite inflicts sleep on a single target. This is a good ability, but it is not used very often, giving way to Freeze Trap.
  • Intimidate stuns a single target for 3 seconds. Inferior in effectiveness to Linking Shot.

Level 45 Talents

Recommended option: Spirit of the Iron Hawk.

The talents of this tier are responsible for the personal protection of BM Hunt.

  • Vitality is a new healing cooldown that restores a large amount of health to the hunter and his pet. Recovers in 2 minutes and is inferior in strength to the other two options.
  • Spirit of the Iron Hawk is an upgraded version of the Spirit of the Hawk. In addition to the standard effect, it reduces damage taken by 10%, works passively and greatly simplifies life for hunters, who are considered a relatively fragile class.
  • Spirit Bond passively heals the hunter and his pet for 3% of their maximum health every 2 seconds. If you have food or bandages, the effect decreases in price.

Level 60 Talents

Recommended option: Terrible beast.

This tier contains talents that allow you to replenish concentration in one way or another.

  • Zeal instantly restores 50 points of Focus and another 50 points over 10 seconds. In total, Zeal gives more focus than the alternatives, but adds an extra button to the rotation.
  • The Dire Beast summons a pet that deals a little extra damage and passively restores the Hunter's Focus. This is the worst talent of the tier in terms of the amount of resource received, however, the Beast Mastery has an additional pet that receives bonuses from mastery, which makes the talent more attractive compared to the other two specializations. Typically, it is used as the default option.
  • Thrill of the Hunt is a passive effect that triggers from time to time and reduces the concentration cost of some shots. It is slightly inferior to Zeal when used optimally, but does not require attention from the player, and therefore is considered more convenient.

Level 75 Talents

Recommended option:A flock of ravens.

The talents of this tier increase the damage dealt by the BM, including from the pet.

  • A Flock of Ravens is a two-minute cooldown that summons a flock of ravens that attack the target for 30 seconds. In terms of damage output per target, the Flock is ahead of the other two talents in the tier.
  • Lightning strikes allow your pet to teleport to a target from a distance of up to 30m, increasing the damage they deal by 30%. This talent is inferior to the other two in absolute values, but it is very convenient in some fights.
  • Lynx's Rage is a mini cooldown for the pet. Unfortunately, it does very little damage and is much inferior to the other two options.

Level 90 Talents

Recommended option: Throw Glaive.

This tier contains talents that add a new ability to the rotation.

  • Glaive Throw is a powerful attack that has a 15 second cooldown and costs only 15 Focus. The throw fits perfectly into any hunter's rotation, especially considering how resource efficient it is.
  • A powerful shot is applied for 2.25 seconds. and deals explosive damage to the main target, as well as to all targets that stand in the way. The ability takes a long time to cast and has a long cooldown, and therefore is inferior to alternative options.
  • A barrage is a rapid volley of shots that strike all enemies in a cone in front of the caster multiple times. Flurry works well in some fights, and is inferior to Glaive Throw in most cases. The main advantage of Flurry is the wide spread of projectiles - this can be useful in dungeons, for provoking a large number of enemies at once. Typically used in combination with Redirection.

5. Best symbols for BM Hunt in Mists of Pandaria 5.5.0

Glyphs play less of a role in Mists of Pandaria than in previous expansions, as they no longer affect the amount of damage dealt. Major symbols have been removed from the game, large symbols give characters situational combat advantages, minor symbols are considered cosmetic and make gameplay a little more convenient.

Large characters

Hunters of all specializations are advised to carry the Glyph of Beast Bond and Glyph of Containment. The protective bonuses from these symbols are difficult to overestimate; they work excellently in any content. All other symbols are considered situational, you can choose any one based on your personal preferences.

  • Glyph of Bestial Bond increases the amount of healing received by the Hunter and their pet by 10%. Helps you recover faster from impacts.
  • Glyph of Containment reduces damage taken by an additional 20% when using Containment.
  • The Lift Glyph increases the Lift Distance. We recommend that you put this symbol in the third slot, it will give you the greatest benefit in dungeons and raids.
  • Glyph of Liberation restores the Hunter to 5% of their maximum health when using Disengage. Serves as an additional passive source of healing if you use Disengage frequently.
  • Glyph of Pathfinding increases movement speed while mounted and when Spirit of the Cheetah is activated. A great option for those who plan to complete tasks or explore the open world.

Small characters

As stated above, the small symbols are cosmetic and make the gameplay experience a little more convenient.

  • Glyph of Spirit of the Cheetah: Spirit of the Cheetah no longer applies Vertigo when taking damage, instead simply dispelling the effect. This is a mandatory symbol that completely eliminates the disadvantage of the Cheetah Spirit.
  • Glyph of the Spirit of the Pack increases the range of the Spirit of the Pack to 15m. An excellent option for raiders, it ensures a guaranteed effect on all group members.
  • Glyph of Loot: Your pet learns to collect loot from enemies within a 40m radius. This is a very convenient symbol that is often used when pumping.
  • Glyph of Revive Pet reduces the delay when casting Revive Pet in battle.

6. Pets and rotation of the Beastmaster Hunter in WoW 5.5.0

Pets for BM

Pets are divided into families depending on their biological species (cats, boars, spiders, and so on). Unlike previous expansions, in Mists of Pandaria you can choose any specialization (damage, defense, auxiliary effects) for any pet. Names of specializations: "Ferocity", "Persistence", "Cunning". In addition, pets have lost their specific talent trees. All pets belonging to the same specialization (for example, Ferocity) have the same basic abilities. Only special effects change, which are determined by the pet’s belonging to a particular species.

When choosing a pet, these effects serve as a deciding factor. In Mists of Pandaria, players can take advantage of a large number of different raid effects. The Hunter is the only character who can fill the need of a single raid by choosing the right pet. As a rule, hunters choose effects that provide the most benefit to themselves, or effects that are least common. Research your raid composition in advance and make decisions accordingly. Most likely, for this you will need to have several pets of different types in the stalls.

Regardless of the additional effect, the pet's specialization must be Ferocity. Representatives of this specialization deal the most damage and have access to the corresponding cooldowns.

Recommendations for choosing pets

When leveling up, you can use any pet you have. If you are leveling up alone, you may need a pet with the Tenacity specialization; in a group game, use a pet with the Ferocity specialization to deal maximum damage. We recommend that you choose a wolf with Furious Howl (+5% critical strike chance).

It should also be noted that the level of the pet being tamed is no longer important; pets are always behind their hunters by a maximum of 5 levels. If a level 90 character tames a level 10 pet, the pet's level will automatically rise to 85. The remaining levels can be quickly increased by killing monsters.

Beneficial effects from pets

In the Mists of Pandari expansion, pets can apply buffs to allies and debuffs to enemies. Both are highly valued in raids. The effects are not unique; in a 25-player raid, they will most likely be obtained from other characters, so hunters are not limited in choosing a pet. At the same time, they, of course, can cover the needs of the raid in the absence of a character with the desired effect. When going into a dungeon or raid, analyze your party composition and choose your pet accordingly. Below is a list of pets that need to be collected in stalls to have effects for all occasions:

  • Wolf/Hydra: 5% critical strike chance;
  • Hyena/snake: 10% speed;
  • Water Strider: 10% spell power;
  • Cat: mastery;
  • Dragonhawk/Winged Serpent: +5% spell damage to target;
  • Boar/Ravager: +4% physical damage to target;
  • Raptor/Strider: -12% armor for target.

Pet training

In classic and TBC, hunters had to spend a lot of time training their pets. In the new additions, pets by default have the necessary abilities, which are pumped up along with the level. You no longer need to learn new abilities by taming new pets.

Pet Talents

In the new expansion, pets no longer have talent trees. Choose the Ferocity specialization for your pet and you will receive all the effects and bonuses you need.

Rotation of BM Hunt

In the Cataclysm expansion, the mechanics of the class changed significantly; hunters began to use concentration rather than mana as their main resource. With the release of Mists of Pandaria, nothing has changed in this regard; the rotation for the most part remains the same.

Rotation for one target

Before starting the battle, make sure that you are affected by the Spirit of the Hawk and the target is affected by the Hunter's Mark. The Take command now automatically applies Hunter's Mark to the target in combat, only apply it manually when not otherwise engaged.

  1. Command "Take!";
  2. Kill shot if the target's health level does not exceed 20%;
  3. Cast and maintain Snake Bite;
  4. A flock of ravens;
  5. Glaive Throw;
  6. Terrible beast;
  7. Concentrated fire with 5 charges of Frenzy;
  8. Arcane Shot if you have concentration to spare;
  9. Cobra Shot to generate concentration and maintain Snake Bite;

AoE rotation

AoE rotation for Beastmaster depends on the number of targets participating in the battle. If there are 2-4 targets, use the rotation above, replacing Arcane Shot with Volley. Whenever possible, use the "Take" Command. to different targets so that they receive the Hunter's Mark separately.

If you have 5 or more targets, use the following skills:

  1. Volley;
  2. Explosive Trap;
  3. Kill shot if the target's health level does not exceed 20%;
  4. A flock of ravens is a priority target if it lives long enough;
  5. Glaive Throw;
  6. Cobra shot to generate concentration.

7. Cooldowns and other useful abilities of the Beastmaster Hunter in WoW Pandaria Classic

Hunters have several cooldowns that can be used to deal burst damage. How cooldowns are used depends on the specifics of the battle, but as a rule, powerful abilities are used at the very beginning and then as they become available.

  • Bestial Wrath is the most important cooldown for Beastmaster. It increases the pet's attack speed by 20% and lasts 10 seconds. Try to combine the cooldown with Rage. Thanks to the Beast Within, Bestial Wrath increases damage dealt by 10% and reduces the concentration cost of shots by 50%.
  • Rapid Fire is another important cooldown. It increases ranged attack speed by 40% and lasts 15 seconds.
  • Rage is a cooldown for Ferocity pets that significantly increases the pet's attack power.
  • Zeal is an active talent that replenishes concentration. It can be combined with other cooldowns in case of resource shortage.
  • Bestial Onslaught is a new cooldown that briefly summons all pets into battle. Try to combine it with other efforts.

Perfume

In battle, hunters have access to only two effects from the “Spirit” category: Spirit of the Hawk and Spirit of the Cheetah. Spirit of the Hawk should be active most of the time, Spirit of the Cheetah only if you feel the need to move quickly (not recommended in a raid, as characters are likely to take damage and the effect will be canceled). Spirit of the Pack is a raid version of Spirit of the Cheetah, which should only be used if the raidexactly will not take damage while the Spirit is active.

BM Hunt's spells, cooldowns and abilities

Hunters deal excellent damage and have support abilities that allow them to perform additional objectives in the raid. Primarily, we are talking about Redirect, Ice Trap and tracking monsters of different types (for example, Tracking Humanoids).

All hunters apply the same buff to the raid, Trueshot Aura. The aura increases the attack power of all raid members by 10%. This effect is only available to hunters, warriors, and death knights.

Make sure that you are always affected by one of the “spirit” type spells. Perfume is a positive effect that works on the principle of auras.The default option in combat is Spirit of the Hawk, it increases the attack power in ranged combat. All existing spirits in the game are listed below.

  • Spirit of the Hawk increases ranged attack power. Used in those moments when the priority is to deal damage.
  • Spirit of the Cheetah increases movement speed by 30%. Use it to move quickly if you know you won't take damage.
  • Spirit of the Pack is a variation of Spirit of the Cheetah that affects the entire group or raid.

Key Rotation Abilities

Listed below are the main BM abilities that are used in rotation (both at leveling and at the maximum level).

  • Command "Take!" - One of the powerful abilities of the "Beast Master". When using a Command, the hunter's pet attacks the target and deals explosive damage to it. The team serves as the Beastmaster's main focus draining tool.
  • Kill Shot is not applicable to targets above 20% health. This is the most powerful single-target ability. Use it whenever possible.
  • A volley is used to damage two or more targets if they are close to each other. In addition, Volley applies the Beast Strike buff, spreading the pet's attacks to additional targets for the next 4 seconds.
  • Hunter's Mark applies a debuff to the target that lasts indefinitely and grants additional attack power to anyone who attacks that target. At a given time, a tag can be present on only one target. Apply the mark before combat and remember that it does not introduce the target into combat. In Mists of Pandaria, the Mark is automatically applied when using the Kill Command.
  • Arcane Shot is cast instantly and deals Arcane damage. Use it on a single target to expend extra Focus if it won't delay other shots.
  • Snake Bite is a periodic effect that deals Nature damage. It is used in the rotation of hunters of all specializations.
  • Cobra Shot is also used to fill gaps in the rotation and generates focus. In addition, Cobra Shot extends the duration of Snake Sting. In single-target combat, Bite is used only once, at the very beginning.
  • Concentrated Fire consumes the pet's Frenzy charges, replenishing Focus and increasing the Hunter's Haste based on the number of charges absorbed.
  • Dire Beast is a talent that summons temporary pets that attack the target, dealing damage and replenishing the hunter's Focus with each attack.

Traps

Traps are a kind of identification mark of hunters. They are placed on the ground and trigger when an enemy steps on them. At a given time, you can place one trap of each type (fire, ice and natural). You can also use Trap Throw, which allows you to throw traps up to 40m away.

  • Explosive Trap is a fire trap that, when triggered, deals explosive damage to all enemies within a 10m radius and applies a damage over time effect to them. This is a powerful AoE ability, use it when there are a lot of targets.
  • Freeze Trap is an ice trap that freezes the enemy for 1 minute. The frozen target cannot take any actions, any damage dispels the effect.
  • Ice Trap creates a patch of ice on the ground that reduces enemy movement speed by 50%. Use it to break away from pursuit if necessary.
  • Snake Trap is a natural trap that summons several vicious poisonous snakes. Snakes attack the target for 15 seconds and then die.

Tracking

Hunters have abilities to track different types of enemies, such as Track Humanoids and Track Animals. Only one such ability can be active at a time; all targets of the appropriate type are displayed on the mini-map.

  • Humanoid Tracking displays nearby humanoids (both friendly and hostile) on the minimap.
  • Animal Tracking displays animals on the mini map.
  • Track Undead displays undead creatures on the minimap. This does not apply to players belonging to the same race.
  • Stealth Tracking displays stealthy creatures on the minimap, including Stealth players.
  • Elemental Tracking displays elementals on the minimap.
  • Demon Tracking displays demons on the minimap.
  • Tracking Giants displays giants on the minimap.
  • Dragon Tracking displays dragons on the mini map.

Pet Abilities

Each pet has its own abilities, and the hunter has abilities that allow him to interact with the pet. These abilities will be listed below.

  • Taming an Animal allows you to tame an animal and make it your pet.
  • Summon Pet Summons a pet if it is not summoned and is alive. In Mists of Pandaria, hunters can tame multiple pets and summon them with different versions of the same ability.
  • Revive Pet resurrects the pet if it is dead.
  • Feeding the pet applies to food from the inventory and replenishes the pet's health. Different pets like different foods.
  • Release Pet chases away the pet until you use Summon Pet. Use this skill to prevent your pet from provoking unnecessary monsters (for example, when jumping from a ledge).
  • Healing a pet restores your pet's health over 10 seconds.
  • Knowledge of the beast provides information about the pet (type, food preferences, history).

Cooldowns

UBM Hunt has various powerful abilities with special effects and long cooldowns. These abilities are called cooldowns. Cooldowns are incredibly important, and therefore their use must be planned in advance.

Auxiliary abilities

Hunters have access to various support abilities that allow them to do things that other classes cannot.

  • Counter Shot is used to interrupt enemy spells. The long-awaited ability appeared in the game with the Mists of Pandaria expansion.
  • Redirect applies to an allied player or pet. It applies a positive effect to the target that lasts 30 seconds. When you attack an enemy, the effect redirects the threat you generate to an ally for 4 seconds.
  • Containment prevents you from targeting a hunter and using direct spells and attacks on them for 5 seconds. Containment is not the same as invulnerability and does not block some abilities and effects. Damage taken while Contain is active is reduced by 30%.
  • Concussion Shot fires instantly and slows the hostile target by 50%. The effect duration is 4 seconds. The ability can be used for kiting in PvP and PvE.
  • A distraction shot is an instant shot that forces the target to attack the hunter. Use it if you need to attract the enemy's attention.
  • Repulse is similar to Warlocks' Fear, but can only be used against animals and Druids in Beast Form.
  • The eagle eye allows you to see into the distance. Use this ability to explore and explore the world.
  • Disengagement was redesigned in Wrath of the Lich King so it can now be used for fast travel. In the new addition, Disengagement works the same way as in the current version of the game - it throws the character back.
  • Feign Death removes the hunter from combat and resets the threat against attackers. In PvP, the ability allows you to “get lost” from the enemy’s target.
  • The flare detects all stealth targets at a specified point and prevents them from hiding again. Works well against robbers and druids.
  • A pacifying shot removes the effects of rage and magical effects from the target.
  • The owner's order frees the pet from immobilizing effects and makes it invulnerable to similar effects for the next 4 sec.
  • Stunning Shot is an instant shot that disorients the target for 4 seconds.
  • Wyvern Bite is an instant shot that puts the target to sleep for 30 seconds.
  • Widow's Poison is an instant shot that disorients the target for 30 seconds.
  • Camouflage gives the character imaginary invisibility, works only when at rest, players see the hunter when he begins to move. While under the effect of Camouflage, the hunter can only receive hits in melee combat. Dealing or receiving damage dispels the effect.

8. Priority of characteristics of the Hunter "Beastmaster" in WoW Mists of Pandaria

The priority characteristics for the Beast Master hunter are:

  1. Dexterity
  2. Accuracy(up to a limit of 7.5%)
  3. Mastery(up to a limit of 7.5%)
  4. Speed
  5. Mastery
  6. Critical Strike

Dexterity

Dexterity is the main source of attack power, which determines the damage of most abilities. Agility is present on all pieces of equipment. It provides some other benefits, but is mainly valued for its damage boost.

Accuracy

Accuracy ensures attacks hit the target. In Mists of Pandaria, accuracy is especially important for Cobra Shot, as misses do not replenish Focus and do not prolong Serpent Sting. In general, accuracy is very important not only in terms of numbers, but also in terms of ease of play. "Beastmaster" requires 7.5% accuracy (2550 rating units).

Mastery

In Mists of Pandaria, hunters also require a skill rating, as enemies can dodge shots. Mastery is similar to accuracy, it's just called differently. The skill limit is the same as for accuracy - 7.5% or 2550 rating.

Speed rating

For BM Hunt, speed, mastery and critical strike are approximately equal to each other in effectiveness, so we recommend that you choose equipment according to the item level (and, accordingly, according to the agility indicator).

For the Beastmaster, speed is very important. In Mists of Pandaria, some classes have speed caps that trigger periodic effects an additional time when reached. “Beast Master” does not have such values; speed only affects the process of replenishing concentration and the attack speed of the hunter himself and his pet. Gain speed to increase your damage output and increase the frequency of some passive effects.

Mastery

Beast Mastery's Mastery increases damage from your pet, including Kill Command! and the Terrible Beast. The pet deals most of the damage, so mastery is very important.

Critical Strike

In Mists of Pandaria, critical strikes have no additional rotation mechanics other than additional damage. For Beast Mastery, critical hits are guaranteed by certain passive effects (such as Cobra Throws) rather than by rating. For this reason, Critical Strike is slightly inferior to Speed and Mastery.

9. Gems, Enchantments and Consumables

In Mists of Pandaria, the process of selecting enchantments, gems, and consumables is relatively simple - follow the guidelines below, which reflect general stat priority. Accuracy and skill are considered the most important characteristics, followed by agility. Below is a list of improvements that may be useful to hunters with the Beast Mastery specialization.

The best food in the game is called Legendary Pandaren Noodle Soup. The following options with agility bonuses can be used as personal food:

  • Sea Mist Rice Noodles
  • Spicy pumpkin slices

Infusions and potions

The best infusion for a Beast Mastery hunter is the Infusion of Spring Flowers

The best potion is Wildebeest's Bite. Try to combine it with cooldowns to deal damage.

For emergency healing, you can use the Master's Healing Potion.

Professions

Hunters do not have the skills to heal themselves, so they are recommended to learn First Aid and use Thick Windwool Bandages. If you need healing in battle, choose moments when no one is attacking you.

11. Leveling up BM Hunt in WoW MoP 5.5.0

“Beastmaster” is considered one of the strongest specializations for leveling up. All three Hunter specializations are suitable for this purpose - they perform well in single player and dungeon runs. Hunters are less dependent on equipment than other characters, as most of their damage is done by pets, and concentration is restored on its own.

Talents for leveling up the Beast Master hunter

In Mists of Pandaria, new talents are unlocked every 15 levels, starting at level 15. Recommended talents allow you to kill opponents with minimal interruption.

Level 15 Talents

Talents in this tier change the mechanics of the main fast movement skill, Disengage.

  • Quick Reaction increases movement speed by 60% and prevents you from being slowed or immobilized after using Disengage. When leveling up, this talent is used as the default option, it increases movement speed and regularly removes slows and immobilizations.
  • Almost got caught! When using Disengage, it also pins enemies in place for 8 seconds. The AoE control effect can be useful, but its value decreases as you level up.
  • Crouching Tiger, Hidden Chimera reduces the cooldowns of Disengage and Contain. Another strong option for pumping.

Level 30 Talents

This tier contains talents for controlling opponents.

  • Link Shot fires an arrow at a designated point, tying nearby enemies together. If opponents move too quickly and break the connection, they will be stunned for 5 seconds. This is a powerful AoE effect that works great in any situation.
  • Wyvern Bite inflicts sleep on a single target. This is a good ability, but it is not used very often, giving way to Freeze Trap.
  • Intimidate stuns a single target for 3 seconds. Inferior in effectiveness to Linking Shot.

Level 45 Talents

The talents of this tier are responsible for the personal protection of the BM.

As you level up, the Spirit of the Iron Hawk drops in price, since the hunter needs healing more than damage reduction, but if you play in a group with a healer, this Spirit can be useful to you.
  • Spirit Bond passively heals the hunter and his pet for 3% of their maximum health every 2 seconds. If you have food or bandages, the effect decreases in price.

Level 60 Talents

Talents in this tier increase damage dealt, including damage from your pet.

  • A Flock of Ravens is a two-minute cooldown that summons a flock of ravens that attack the target for 30 seconds. In terms of damage output per target, the Flock is ahead of the other two talents in the tier. However, when leveling up, enemies rarely live longer than 30 seconds.
  • Lightning strikes allow your pet to teleport to a target from a distance of up to 30m, increasing the damage they deal by 30%. This talent is inferior to the other two in absolute values, but it is very convenient when leveling up, especially for the Beast Master, who relies heavily on strong pets.
  • Lynx's Rage is a mini cooldown for the pet. Unfortunately, it does very little damage and is much inferior to the other two options.

Symbols

In Mists of Pandaria, glyphs still play a role in leveling, but their effectiveness has decreased significantly compared to previous expansions. Major symbols have been removed from the game, large symbols give characters situational combat advantages, minor symbols are considered cosmetic and make gameplay a little more convenient. Below are recommendations for choosing symbols for leveling.

Large characters:

Hunters of all specializations are advised to carry the Glyph of Beast Bond and Glyph of Containment. The protective bonuses from these symbols are difficult to overestimate; they work excellently in any content. All other symbols are considered situational, you can choose any one based on your personal preferences.

  • Glyph of Bestial Bond increases the amount of healing received by the Hunter and their pet by 10%. Helps you recover faster from impacts.
  • Glyph of Containment reduces damage taken by an additional 20% when using Containment.
  • The Pet Healing symbol significantly increases the effectiveness of Pet Healing, makes the pet stronger, and makes it easier to complete tasks.

Small characters:

As stated above, the small symbols are cosmetic and make the gameplay experience a little more convenient.

  • Glyph of Spirit of the Cheetah: Spirit of the Cheetah no longer applies Vertigo when taking damage, instead simply dispelling the effect. This is a mandatory symbol that completely eliminates the disadvantage of the Cheetah Spirit.
  • Glyph of Loot: Your pet learns to collect loot from enemies within a 40m radius. This is a very convenient symbol that is often used when pumping.
  • Glyph of Revive Pet reduces the delay when casting Revive Pet in battle.

Rotation for leveling

The rotation used when leveling up almost completely repeats the rotation for the maximum level. Try to send your pet into battle first and do not forget to use Redirection on it.

The rotation for the start of the battle is as follows:

  1. The "Take!" command, which automatically places the Hunter's Mark on the target;
  2. Black Arrow;
  3. Snake bite;
  4. Terrible beast;
  5. Concentrated fire, if the pet has accumulated 5 charges of Frenzy;
  6. Kill shot if the target's health level does not exceed 20%;
  7. Relieve excess concentration with Arcane Shot;
  8. Cobra Shot if no other skills are required or available.

Apply cooldowns as needed - for example, after provoking several enemies at the same time. In AoE battles, do not forget to use Volley and Explosive Trap. Try to support Beast Strike with Volley.
